John and Pat Sondgeroth’s farm has been in the family for more than 100 years. As fourth-generation farmers, the Sondgeroths continue the tradition of raising cattle on their fully integrated livestock farm. Their special Piedmontese breed is known for its distinct combination of leanness and tenderness, with most of the cuts exceeding the nutritional recommendations Heartland Meats cattle are American Humane Certified and raised without hormones or animal by-products in addition to other sustainable farming practices. With their own federally inspected processing plant, they are able to control the quality of their product and produce heart-healthy and delicious beef.
