Become a Sponsor

Reach thousands of Chicagoland residents and show your commitment to local and sustainable food and farming by becoming a Green City Market Sponsor. At-market sponsorships help to fund our free educational programs such as Club Sprouts, Edible Gardens, Chef Demonstrations, Composting, and go to support our Link Matching Program. Entering our 19th season, Green City Market is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to creating a sustainable food system in Chicago through our markets, outreach, and educational programming.

  • Education about quality food and its source
  • Farmers who take care of the land
  • Preservation of sustainably farmed land
  • A vibrant thriving community of local farms
  • Consumption of locally grown foods

Please read through our sponsorship opportunities and guidelines. All sponsors are required to submit a short application for approval. Only applicants that fit within GCM’s mission will be approved. Once approved, a sponsor will receive an agreement to sign and return with payment in-full. All fees are due in advance and sponsorship is not confirmed until payment is received.

Chef BBQ Sponsorship

The Green City Market Chef BBQ is our key fundraising event which raises money to support educational and outreach programs as well as the operating budget of the market.

One of Chicago’s most anticipated food events of the summer, the event provides an opportunity for Green City Market farmers and Chicago chefs to collaboratively create dishes that highlight the best of what the Midwest has to offer. Over 100 of Chicago’s top restaurants and beverage purveyors provide tasting portions of local, sustainable heirloom produce, heritage meats, and craft beverages sourced from GCM farmers. Attendees get to interact with the chefs and mixologists while enjoying market-inspired creations.
