Do you know what’s recyclable in Chicago? Can worms seriously eat your garbage? What really goes in the trash in your alley or dumpster? Stop by for a fun and interactive waste challenge and show us what you’ve got! Chicagoans throw away 7.3 million tons of trash per year, filling up our limited landfill area.
The waste diversion challenge will feature different stations that will make it exciting to learn how to divert your waste from landfills all while giving you the chance to win special prizes! Stop by the classroom under the stairs on the first floor of the museum to participate.
Let us know how eager you are to help reduce your impact on Chicago's waste cycle and reserve your space now for FREE and show up anytime between 9:00 - 11:00am to play!
Stay tuned for more details, including a special presentation by a Chicago Conservation Corps Leader, WasteNot Compost, and Green City Market, where you can win a prize just for showing up.
