Verzênay Chicago at Green City Market
One of our longtime vendors, Verzênay Chicago, is hiring for the 2026 Green City Market season.
Based in Lincoln Park, Verzênay Patisserie has been part of the Green City Market community since 2014 and is looking for team members who are excited to share finely crafted baked goods, pastries, and desserts with our shoppers.
Open Positions
Farmer’s Market Staff: Operations & Customer Service Managers
• 2–3 part-time positions available
• Saturday market: 3 positions
• Wednesday market: 2 positions
Pay & Schedule
• $20 per hour plus cash tips
• One meal provided per market day
• Early start time: 5:00am–2:00pm
Seasonal Commitment
• April: Saturdays, approximately 9 hours
• May through October: Wednesdays and Saturdays, approximately 18 hours per week
• November: First 2–3 Saturdays, approximately 9 hours
Key Responsibilities
• Pack and prepare food products in the bakery kitchen
• Load and unload products and equipment from the van
• Set up tents, tables, and booth displays at market
• Assist with sales and customer service
• Follow all food safety standards and Green City Market regulations
• Work closely as part of a collaborative team
One team member must be able to drive a Ford Transit medium-roof van. Candidates should be comfortable lifting 30–40 pounds and working in a fast-paced outdoor market environment.
Additional Opportunities
Extra hours may be available at the bakery, assisting with deliveries, or supporting additional Chicago-area events.

Joe's Blues is seeking multiple roles:
- Market Manager: Joe’s Blues is looking for seasonal (May-Nov), full-time help setting up and taking down farmers markets. Duties include: picking up and distributing equipment and product to local farmers' markets, pressing juice at markets, and helping out where needed.
- On Farm Help: Joe’s Blues is looking for seasonal (April-Nov) Full-time help in Bangor, Michigan, growing blueberries and managing farm rentals. Couples are encouraged to apply. Living space and car provided. Must be passionate about organic farming and hardworking.
- Joe’s Blues is looking for someone to press juice with an old timey juice press at farmers market in and around Chicago from May to the end of October. They are in search of hard-working extroverts that are passionate about organic farming.
