"CHICAGO — The Green City Market is set to reopen its farmers market Saturday in the West Loop.
The popular outdoor farmers market will be open 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays through the end of October at Mary Bartleme Park, 115 S. Sangamon St.
New vendors this year:
- Star Farm Chicago, a Back of the Yards urban farm that offers fresh seasonal vegetables;
- Prairie Wolf, which sells hand-processed raw dog food treats with ingredients sourced from local farmers;
- And Kikwetu Kenya Coffee Company, a family-owned coffee company based on the South Side.
You can find more information on the vendors here.
Fully vaccinated patrons won’t be required to wear a mask within the market, but unvaccinated people will be required mask up. The farmers market will update its COVID-19 safety protocols here.
The West Loop farmers market moved to Mary Bartelme Park in 2016. It was staged in a lot at 211 S. Peoria St. in 2016 and at the corner of Fulton and Halsted streets in 2015.
Green City Market also operates in Lincoln Park, where the market has been hosted for 22 years."
