Hoosier Mama Pie Company is a modern artisanal bakery striving to be a great “old” pie company. That means baking seasonally and making everything by hand using the best local ingredients we can find. Making apple pies for her father was Paula’s first foray into pastry. Years later, while working in fine dining, she grew concerned that Americans weren’t honoring their own pasty traditions and pie, in particular, was being relegated to the grocery store freezer case. To this day, we remain dedicated to the promotion of pie consumption and the preservation of our pie making heritage. Since it’s beginning as a stand at Green City Market in 2007, Hoosier Mama has grown to include 2 retail bakeries and a pie cafe. Caitlin joined the team as Sous Chef at the Evanston location in 2016 and later took over the Westtown Chicago shop where she continues to develop seasonal recipes with the wonderful produce our farmers bring to Green City Market. DIPie at Chef’s BBQ is their favorite event of the year.
