We are a family owned ,Kenya-Born, Chicago-Made specialty coffee company called Kikwetu; a Swahili word that means "Our way, our style or how we do it.” Ours is a labor of love to connect two places that are very special to us: Kenya where we were born and raised and Chicago, where we have made our lives. Kikwetu is excited to add to the diverse tapestry that makes Chicago special. Building, uncovering and fostering human connections is the ultimate foundation for a just and sustainable planet. Kiwetu showcases a variety of products including, specialty Kenyan coffee, teas and our very own family recipe of Mandazis as well as Samosas. We offer catering and can also be found in 11 Farmers markets across the city on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
