Inspired by traditional techniques, seasonally driven Midwestern sensibility, and a touch of European elegance, Lardon is an all-day neighborhood restaurant and salumeria concept from Chicago restauranteur Steve Lewis. Located just below Logan Square’s bustling California Blue Line stop, Lardon has been a dining destination for foodies around the country since opening its doors in 2021 and was recognized by MICHELIN with a Bib Gourmand in 2022-24. The restaurant is housed inside a 110-year-old space that has been transformed into a sun-drenched neighborhood hub for industry vets, locals, and tourists alike. Exposed brick walls, reclaimed materials, and honeycombed tile floors set the backdrop for a rotating menu of expertly crafted house cured charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, housemade pastries, fresh salads and generously stacked sandwiches during the day, and an exquisite prix fixe menu on the weekends.
Known for its boutique wine and expansive amaro programs as well as old school artisan traditions like whole animal butchering and an in-house meat curing cave, Lardon frequently taps local chefs and farmers for collaborations, wine tastings, and other events within its intimate 1,000 square-foot space. Featuring 26 seats and 30 outside patio seats, Lardon is part of Logan Square’s thriving hospitality community. Lardon is also available for small private events and catering.
