Lonesome Rose is an all-day bar and restaurant specializing in Tex-Mex-inspired menus. We focus on basics done beautifully; absolutely essential breakfast tacos, the best margaritas around, and a the cheesy, beefy quesorito you didn’t know you needed.
Originally opening in Logan Square in 2017, the restaurant expanded to Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood in 2023. Featuring a light-filled, open and vertiginous design, Lonesome Rose was a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Awards’ ‘Outstanding Design Award’ in 2019 and has been included on Michelin’s ‘Bib Gourmand’ list numerous times since opening.
Both Lonesome Rose locations are run under the leadership of Executive Chef Sal Moreno and General Manager Cat Amaro.
