The Meadowlark (50 Best Bars in North America, #32 and 2024 Best Cocktail Menu in North America) is an intimate craft cocktail bar tucked away in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. The Meadowlark is the namesake of Meadowlark Hospitality (Lardon, Union), and the third and final concept to open in the group's 110-year-old historic building on the corner of Palmer and California. The space is a dimly lit cocktail haven that exudes vintage Chicago charm, comfortably seating 30 friends, neighbors, industry vets, and visitors alike. Guests are invited to grab a seat around the bar to engage themselves in The Meadowlark’s creative rotating cocktail menus.
Since opening in October 2022, the bar has rapidly become a standout in the Chicago cocktail scene. The Meadowlark takes an ingredient-driven approach to drinks with globally sourced, esoteric spirits and unique flavor combinations punctuated by the bar’s production of house-made syrups, liqueurs, infusions, and bitters. The bar is also achieving notice among cocktail patrons and industry peers with its immersive, themed menus. The team’s most notable menu “The Magic City” was awarded 2024 Best Cocktail Menu in North America by 50 Best Bars. The Meadowlark’s third and current menu, “Composition Book Vol. 1,” is a nostalgic journey through shared childhood memories, expressed through 16 cocktails that each capture a different memory of growing up. Guests are invited to share their own treasured personal histories, play along as they sip, and are urged to not take life too seriously.
