Casey Bergman (She/her)
Program Assistant Green City Market
Bio
Casey joined Green City Market in early 2024 after moving to Chicago from Cincinnati. She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and has previously worked in art curatorial with an emphasis on accessibility and social justice.
Originally from the Chicago area, Casey has been volunteering at farmers markets since she was in high school and has always been passionate about the community that surrounds local produce and food access. Having come from farming roots in southern Illinois, she is especially committed to supporting those who grow and distribute our food.
After moving to Chicago, Casey was inspired by the passionate advocacy that Green City Market embodies, and the
many ways in which they represent food justice throughout the city. She is excited to transition her understanding of equity and community to this role.
In her free time, Casey is an avid reader and volunteers with native habitat restoration projects. She plays recreational softball (poorly) and is currently trying to improve her embroidery skills.
